Description
Why use a silencer adapter 1/2 UNF to 1/2 UNEF?
If we offer this silencer adapter 1/2 UNF to 1/2 UNEF, it is mainly to push your European rifle to American standard. Indeed, despite the fact that the term “universal silencer thread” is sometimes used, the reality is quite different. Each country actually has its favorite thread for its .22 LR suppressors. And the silencers of some, are not necessarily compatible with the rifles of others.
Thus in the U.S.A., the standard thread for .22 caliber rifles is the 1/2 UNEF (also known as 1/2×28 TPI). Therefore, the suppressors we meet in the U.S.A. are more often in this standard. On the other hand, Europeans are more likely to use the 1/2 UNF (also known as 1/2×20 TPI). So it is kind of the natural thread for most European silencers.
The accessory on this page is therefore to turn the 1/2 UNF thread of your weapon into a 1/2 UNEF thread to accommodate a US-sized silencer.
With which weapons is this silencer adapter 1/2 UNF to 1/2 UNEF compatible ?
The possibilities offered by this silencer adapter are virtually limitless. Let’s say you started shooting with an American Mossberg Plinkster 802 rifle. And for it, you have acquired a good silencer in 1/2 UNEF. Now a few years later, you want to switch to a Sako Quad Range with a heavy threaded barrel to improve your results. To reuse your initial suppressor, you need to convert your Sako’s 1/2×20 TPI thread to 1/2×28 TPI. This is where our adapter comes into play.
Of course, the opposite can also happen. You may have a 1/2×28 TPI rifle that you want to convert into 1/2×20 TPI. In this case, please redirect to our silent adapter 1/2 UNEF to 1/2 UNF (see below). For even more exotic configurations, you can also set up your custom silencer adapter!
Why choose ours ?
We manufacture these silencer adapters in France on CNC machines. Therefore they benefit of a flawless concentricity, able to preserve your accuracy. Each of them is made out of XC38 steel (also called C35). It is then blued for optimal corrosion protection.
Note also the knurling on the body of the accessory, allowing it to be screwed/unscrewed by hand. If you choose to leave the adapter permanently screwed on the weapon, we invite you to protect it from shocks with a suitable barrel thread protector.

Came to know about this company through a Youtube video…then ordered two adpaters for my CZ 457, so I could fit a Erik Cortina EC Tuner Muzzle Break…it came very quickly to the UK. The adapters are of very good machining quality and finish, solid built..I think they are made of steel, you can feel weight…which is a good thing in this case….well recommended!!!
