Description
A thread converter for your H&K 45 Auto pistol
Why is our thread adapter for Heckler and Koch .45 ACP necessary? Simply because the German brand is not consistent in the barrel threading of its semi-automatic pistols.
Sometimes it has an M16x1 thread at the end of the barrel, and sometimes it has an M16x1 LH thread. Our converter lets you use your silencer or muzzle brake on both.
Compatibility of our thread adapter for Heckler and Koch .45 ACP
The M16x1 LH thread is found on most .45 ACP guns of European origin. This includes, but is not limited to:
- HK USP Tactical 45 Auto
- HK45 Tactical
- HK45 Compact Tactical
- Glock 21 threaded (45 ACP after 2017)
- Glock 37 threaded (45 GAP)
The M16x1 is limited to a few pre-2017 threaded Glock 21s, and of course the famous HK Mark 23.
Select the desired adapter direction from the drop-down menus on the right of the image. We also sell thread protection rings in these standards.
How do I know if my gun is M16x1 or M16x1 LH?
To find out if our thread adapter for Heckler and Koch .45 ACP will fit your pistol, start by measuring the outside diameter of your thread with a caliper. If you find a measurement between 15.7 and 15.9 mm, then you have an M16 metric thread.
The next step is to observe its direction. Follow the thread root with your fingernail. If you turn clockwise to screw, then it’s a classic M16x1. If, on the other hand, you turn counter-clockwise to screw, then it’s an M16x1 LH.
It should be noted that, by convention, when a thread is on the right, we don’t need to mention RH (Right Hand). M16x1 RH is therefore shortened to M16x1. On the other hand, a left-hand thread must always be specified as such. No abbreviation for M16x1 LH.
